1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Karibu Rides website (kariburides.com) and our airport transfer and chauffeur services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Definitions
- “We,” “Us,” “Our” refers to Karibu Rides.
- “You,” “Customer,” “Passenger” refers to the person using our services.
- “Booking” refers to a confirmed reservation for our transport services.
- “Service” refers to the private transport, airport transfer, or chauffeur services provided by Karibu Rides.
3. Booking and Confirmation
- All bookings are subject to availability.
- A booking is confirmed once you receive a booking reference number via email or on-screen confirmation.
- You must provide accurate pickup/drop-off details, flight numbers (where applicable), and contact information.
- Karibu Rides reserves the right to decline any booking at its discretion.
4. Pricing and Payment
- All prices are quoted in Kenyan Shillings (KES) unless otherwise stated.
- Prices are fixed at the time of booking. The price you are quoted is the price you pay.
- Payment can be made by cash on arrival, mobile money (M-Pesa), or card (where available).
- Additional charges may apply for extra waiting time beyond the complimentary period, additional stops, or route changes requested during the trip.
- All prices include VAT and applicable taxes.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- You may cancel your booking at any time before the scheduled pickup time.
- For “Pay on Arrival” bookings, no cancellation fee applies.
- For pre-paid bookings, refunds will be processed within 7-14 business days.
- Karibu Rides reserves the right to cancel a booking in cases of unforeseen circumstances (e.g., severe weather, vehicle breakdown, security concerns). In such cases, a full refund will be provided for any pre-paid amounts.
6. Flight Delays and Waiting Time
- For airport pickups, we monitor your flight status and adjust the pickup time accordingly at no extra charge.
- Complimentary waiting time of 60 minutes is included from the flight landing time for airport pickups.
- For non-airport pickups, a complimentary waiting time of 15 minutes applies from the scheduled pickup time.
- Waiting time beyond the complimentary period may be charged at the prevailing hourly rate.
7. Passenger Responsibilities
- Passengers must be ready at the agreed pickup location at the scheduled time.
- Passengers are responsible for their personal belongings during the trip.
- Smoking, alcohol consumption, and illegal substances are prohibited in all vehicles.
- Passengers must comply with the driver's reasonable instructions regarding safety.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult and use appropriate child seats where required by law.
8. Luggage Policy
- Standard luggage allowance varies by vehicle type and is displayed during the booking process.
- Excess or oversized luggage must be declared at the time of booking.
- Karibu Rides is not liable for loss or damage to luggage. We recommend passengers secure travel insurance.
9. Limitation of Liability
- Karibu Rides shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.
- Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total fare paid for the specific booking in question.
- We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, road conditions, weather, or events beyond our reasonable control.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the Karibu Rides website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Karibu Rides and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.
11. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
